Industry leaders promote green technology

Environmental Potentials collaborated with industry leaders such as ABB, GE Energy Management, IBM, Emerson Network Power, and Schneider Electric to create a comprehensive strategy outlining the best practices to improve efficiency and reliability of data centers. This is part of Environmental Potentials’ work with The Green Grid.

Green Grid recommends EP products

The Green Grid Association is a non-profit, comprised of parties from all sections of the industry and works to improve the resource efficiency of information technology and data centers throughout the world. With more than 200 member entities around the world, The Green Grid seeks to unite global industry efforts, create a common set of metrics, and develop technical resources and educational tools to further its goals.

In one of its most recent white papers analyzing the effects of harmonics on data centers the group of editors including Environmental Potentials’ own Darrin LeRoy, confirmed that too much mitigation equipment can cause other power related issues. The research also confirmed what EP has been saying for years and that is noise is an ever increasing concern.
